The Rajiv Lift Irrigation Project Lift-1(Bheema) – Stage II was undertaken to strengthen the lift irrigation infrastructure by enhancing pumping and water conveyance capacity. This stage focused on the development of key hydraulic and structural components essential for efficient water lifting and distribution to agricultural command areas.
Scope of Work
Execution and construction of:
- •Excavation and construction of the pump house complex, including approach channel, surge pool, and draft tube tunnels.
- •Development of pump house structures along with delivery lines and cistern.
- •Construction of delivery channel to ensure efficient water transfer and system integration.
Outcome
The successful completion of Stage II enhanced the operational efficiency of the Lift-1 Bheema system by ensuring dependable water conveyance and controlled flow management. The project contributes to improved irrigation reliability, agricultural productivity, and sustainable water management in the region.
