Scope of Work
Execution of:
- •Construction of Asia’s largest Concrete Y-Junction in the Head Race Tunnel(HRT)
- •Excavation and lining of a 15 m diameter Head Race Tunnel
- •Execution of a 600 m long, 15 m diameter Tail Race Tunnel
- •Formation of a 14.5 km long approach road leading to the Weir site
Outcome
This project contributes a significant 900 MW of clean hydroelectric power to the southern grid, reinforcing India’s renewable energy ecosystem. Its engineering excellence, particularly the Y-Junction - Asia’s largest concrete junction, stands as a testament to Varks’ expertise in delivering mega-scale, high-precision infrastructure.
